Loki vs Sauron

Description

So, another picture I needed. This is a manipulation! I freely admit I am not capable of painting these things from scratch. The Loki picture is Marvels originally, but I have messed with it and the Eye Of Sauron is all over the net and heavily copied, possibly originally from a screen cap. I painted, airbrushed, smudged, painted again, edited, pasted, airbrushed, etc etc, etc until I got what I wanted, which is basically a stand-off - or possibly an alliance - between Loki and Sauron.

Want to know why? Then read my fics!!! Best to start Here for the beginning of my "Dark" Loki's life since he took the throne. Then go to the Diaries folder up to about Ch36, then To Tame A God, then States, then Another Time Another Place. You'll get the idea and one day I might even round it all up into a book!!!

Interesting combo! Although I don't see them getting alone, given is Sauron in the LOTR universe is the one evil out of many good Gods (or better he was the closest servent of the evil God Morgoth, and ended up taking his place after his death). The reasons for Morgoth being evil was just for the sake of balancing out the good basically (sake of being evil). And Loki seems to really only want to do evil deeds to show his family he's greater than they thought (and greater than they are). And while he is willing to kill however many it takes to prove that (to himself), he doesn't seem to be interested in ruling just to make everyone else in the relims evil/suffer, which is kind of what Sauron's goal was.

I think if Sauron was the undisputed ruler (from the start), Middle Earth would have constantly been in great turmoil. But if Loki had been the undisputed ruler (from the start) he probably would have been a (not great but) decent king. And if the two were to meet, I think it would end up being a "Thor: Dark World" scenario where Loki would team up with others to defeat Sauron. But unlike that movie, I think Sauron would actually win over all (given he had his ring and army - his army was far more competent than Loki's borrowed one). Sauron is just more powerful overall (...given he wears better armor on his fingers...) because he uses his powers for the purpose of the apocalypse (basically) and Loki is only fueled by petty reasons, so Sauron behaves more like a God. Don't get me wrong though, I'm massive fan of both, but yeah. :)
