Technically, Loki is not lying in his speech to the Asgardian nobility when he tells them why he has been ruling Asgard as Odin - he is simply bending the truth.

Well, even now Loki lies about how he got to the throne. In that case thinking that the crown is his by right isn't fair enough. I pity for him. Poor God of Mischief! Seems that he lies to himself... Waaaah!
